Turkey Burgers
Serves 4

1 pound ground turkey
1 egg
1/3 cup bread crumbs
A sprinkle or salt and pepper
4 mulitgrain buns
Slices of brie or cheddar (optional)
Cranberry relish or chutney (optional)

Preheat grill to medium heat.

In a large mixing bowl combine ground turkey, egg, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.

Divide meat into 4 and form 4 patties.

Place patties on grill for a minimum of 12 minutes – Remember that turkey burgers need to be cooked all the way through to avoid the random array of microbial diseases that hover around in summer heat.

For the full burger experience, toast four multigrain buns on the grill while your burgers are cooking.

Once they are almost cooked top the patties with a few slices of brie or cheddar.

Finally, top each burger with a tablespoon or two of chutney or cranberry relish and dig in!
