Giveaway: True Citrus

Everyone knows water is the best thing on earth for you.  It’s free, clean and easy (for most of us) to obtain. The real challenge that everyone faces is keeping water exciting and delicious while still maintaining the health-factor. When I drink water, I want it to be pure, but throwing in lemon juice or lime juice makes it even more refreshing. However, not everyone has fresh lemons or lime on hand at all times…so just go to the store and purchase a bottle of lemon juice. Easy, right? Well, not when it’s filled with weird unpronounceable preservatives that sound as if they belong in your cleaning supply closet. Even most ‘on the go’ flavor packets for your water are filled with chemicals and fake sugar that are mysterious and untrustworthy. Who knew water could be so stressful? We’re just lookin’ for some flavor!

This is where True Citrus products come into the picture. True Citrus was born out of frustration after its creator endlessly searched for lemon products that were 100% natural, 100% convenient and 100% delicious. With True Citrus, that’s exactly what you are getting. Not to mention it has zero calories, zero carbs, zero sugar and no added artificial sweeteners. Ready for more? They also keep out any preservatives, colors, sodium, gluten and include 25% of an adult’s daily Vitamin C requirement. Hello, why are we still sitting here? Let’s go make lemonade.

True Citrus offers products like to-go packets & lemonade mixes that are specifically for jazzing up your water and wonderful little lemon and lime shakers that are great for cooking, baking and seasoning.  If lemon isn’t your thing, there are other great flavors such as lime, raspberry, grapefruit and orange.  Whether you want to dash a bit of lime onto a Caribbean style chicken dish that needs a little extra something or spruce up your water in the dining hall, this is your new go-to product. Not to mention, their to-go packets are easy to throw in your purse for use when you’re out at night or grabbing a bottle of water for class.

The even greater news is that you can win a sample of all of the True Citrus products (in lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange and raspberry lemonade) to try on your own, plus a “Live True” t-shirt! This is a wonderful and healthy opportunity that will benefit not only your tastebuds but most importantly your health.

We’re giving away not one, not two, but THREE sample packs of this product to THREE lucky winners! We’ll choose one on Facebook, one on Twitter, and one on the site. To enter the True Citrus giveaway, here’s what you’ve got to do:

  • Leave a comment below and tell us your favorite way to add lemon or lime into recipes

**Recipe**

Strawberry Mint Lemonade
Serves 8

Have fun with how versatile True Lemonade is! Instead of strawberries and mint, you could add cucumber, orange slices, or mango.

Ingredients
5 whole strawberries, cleaned, de-stemmed and sliced
6 leaves fresh mint, washed and torn into pieces
1 liters of water
2 packets of True Lemonade

Add sliced strawberries and torn mint leaves into a 2-liter pitcher. Fill with fresh, filtered water. Stir everything all together and put in the refrigerator for an hour or more. Pour over ice and enjoy.  The mixture will be good for 24-48 hours.

The best way to use lemon in a dish is to add a bit of the zest to a delicious shrimp scampi or fresh-baked muffins!
