Friday Recipe Round-up: Winter Salads

Every week we’ll round up some of the best recipes, food writing, cooking tricks and drinking tips that every college student should know about.  Here’s what’s cooking in virtual kitchens around the web this week.

It’s mid-January so by now those resolutions are probably straggling a bit. Here are some delicious salads to keep you on track!

**SKC Picks**

I love quinoa to add some protein to my salads, and I love the sweetness added here with cherries in a black quinoa cherry pistachio salad.

I usually put cilantro and lime in my guacamole, but why not pair them with chickpeas in a cilantro lime chickpea salad!

Kale, radicchio, and cabbage get all chopped up in this awesome chopped winter salad.

Brussels sprouts are making a comeback this year! Try a charred brussels sprout leaves with almonds salad for a great new way to get your greens.

    Hi Melissa,

Thanks for thinking my winter chopped salad recipe is awesome. It thinks you’re pretty awesome, too.
