Friday Recipe Round-up: Superbowl Sunday

Every week we’ll round up some of the best recipes, food writing, cooking tricks and drinking tips that every college student should know about.  Here’s what’s cooking in virtual kitchens around the web this week.

The Superbowl is not just a championship football game. Yes, for those who follow football it is the most important game of the season, but for those who do not, or are fair-weather fans, the Superbowl is the time to drink beer and eat delicious (and probably not nutritious) finger food. Here are some recipes to try out for this Superbowl Sunday!

Potato chips are a given at any superbowl party, but have you ever had them in cookies? This potato chip cookie recipe from smitten kitchen definitely won’t disappoint and might just be the perfect combo of salty and sweet.

My dad’s favorite is always the pigs in a blanket, and this corn dog twist on a classic is a great way to update your superbowl menu.

Why not make your own chips? These wonton crackers are easy and fun, but look gourmet, and can be customized as you wish. Don’t forget to make some sinfully delicious fire roasted guacamole to go with them!

And we couldn’t leave out these football spinach pizzas…they might be the cutest superbowl finger food out there.
