Review: Caraway Tea

Tea is essential in college. Whether you need an extra caffeine boost, you’re looking for an herbal remedy for a bug going around, or even the long island iced kind…tea is at your side, ready to cheer you on through the hustle and bustle of life.

Located in New York, Caraway Tea Company, a member of the Specialty Tea Institute, and a supporter of various charities, is ready and waiting to serve all your tea needs. Caraway offers black, herbal, green, white, fruit, and rooibos teas in an even larger variety of flavors. Lucky for me, I had the wonderful opportunity to sample some of their products, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. Their orange creamsicle flavored fruit tea has the vibrant flavor of…you guessed it…an orange creamsicle! In contrast, their herbal earl grey black tea is zesty and perfect to warm you up in the morning. With each tea I tried, I was amazed at how fragrant their leaves were, and how fresh the taste was.

Caraway Teas come in packages of dry leaves rather than the tea bags you may be used to, but never fear, their website offers easy-to-use and cheap accessories for anything you may need for brewing. Live in New York? Check out one of their locations across the state, but if not, visit their website to check out what they have to offer. I promise, if you like tea, you will not be disappointed!

Shannon Kelley is finishing her Master’s degree in Education by student teaching in St. Louis. Tea is rather teacher-y, she thinks.
